It’s easy to forget just how dangerous driving can be. We do it every day (most of us do anyway), and for the most part we do it in a relatively relaxed and mundane setting. There is nothing scary or exciting about dropping the kids off at school, and the same goes for driving ourselves to work or doing the weekly shop.

But the danger here is that familiarity breeds complacency. While you might think that it’s very safe, driving still means taking charge of a powerful vehicle and travelling at incredibly high speeds – higher than we were designed to travel. This makes it very dangerous, and that’s why it’s so important that we stay vigilant and treat it as a serious matter every time we get behind a wheel.
